Charles stood in the bedroom, arms folded, staring at the still unmade bed. Josie hovered nearby, clearly more interested in avoiding her chores than actually doing them.
“That’s ridiculous,” he said sternly. “You were supposed to clean the bathroom last week and change the bed today. Bend over the bed.”
Josie sighed but obeyed, positioning herself over the edge and pushing her bottom out. Charles picked up the long, whippy rattan cane and tapped it against her bare cheeks.

Charles took his time, letting the anticipation build between each stroke. The cane hissed through the air before landing with sharp, stinging precision.
